Why do you cook in my home and not somewhere else?
Chef Kimberle is required to cook in your home to comply with Health Department regulations and to carry insurance specific to personal chefs.
Do I need to supply any specific or special kitchen equipment?
No! During your FREE in-home consultation, Chef Kimberle will discuss which equipment you are willing to allow her to use. Otherwise, Chef Kimberle will bring everything she will need.
Do I need to be home on my cook date?
That is completely up to you! But the answer is no. During the in-home visit, you and Chef Kimberle will discuss how she should enter your home if you are away.
How will the food be packaged?
There are many options available and Chef Kimberle is willing to package foods for you in the manner you are most comfortable. You can have Chef Kimberle store foods in glass or plastic containers that you already own, she can select a new set of containers for you to purchase or she can use disposable microwave-safe containers.
How much do groceries typically cost?
This will depend on where the shopping is done, whether this is at a specialty store vs. a normal grocery store, the number of portions Chef Kimberle will be preparing and how many meals are in your package. For a 5-meal package, shopping mainly at a normal grocery store groceries typically average $100.00 - $150.00.
How long will our first cooking consultation last?
The timing of a cooking consultation can vary depending on the package you select and the complexity of your menu. The normal time for be in your home preparing your meals is anywhere from two to five hours.

Will you shop at certain grocery stores if I make a request?
Absolutely! Since Chef Kimberle will be personally shopping for you, she is willing to shop for you on a specific budget, at specific stores or at a variety of stores/farmers markets if that's what you desire. All of your specific needs will be addressed with you during your FREE in-home consultation.
When do I pay you for your services?
Payment for the prior week's services will be requested upon arrival at the following cooking date. Chef Kimberle will provide an invoice detailing your service fee and grocery expenses when she sends your menu proposal for each upcoming week.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract for services?
No! When we first agree to work together, Chef Kimberle will place you on her regular schedule of clients. That being said, Chef Kimberle understands that life happens and situations can change. All she asks is that as a courtesy, you provide at least two-weeks notice if you choose to cancel your services.
